Transit Police Have a Nationally & Internationally Ranked Pistol Shooter

With the Olympics just around the corner many are thinking of which internationally ranked athletes or teams will be medal winners. We here at the Transit Police recently learned that we have an internationally ranked pistol marksmen. We knew he was good, but now we know just how good.

Cst Darrin CHAPLIN has been with the Transit Police for three years. Policing and marksmanship are in his family as his father and brother have made law enforcement a career, and are both expert marksmen.
Darrin’s international overall ranking out of 500 is 257th, his national ranking is 27th.
His international sharpshooting rank is 31st out of 500, and nationally he is ranked 2nd.

“Cst Chaplin has not only proven himself to be an excellent police officer but has also taken the lead as a use of force instructor for our police service”, says Deputy Chief Ken Allen. “His skills and personality will benefit all of our members; we all congratulate him on his very recognized achievements”.
